Tributes & Memories

September 20, 2025

Karen, my friend, I cannot express the overwhelming sadness I feel at this moment. I just sent you a text message and it couldn’t be delivered. I thought, oh no, this can’t be good and went on the Internet and discovered that you left us three weeks ago. You were such a special person. I hope you were able to rejoin your beloved cousin, Cheryl, and the two of you are catching up again, free from life’s cares and worries. Rest in peace my dear friend.

My heart goes out to Billy, Phyllis and Jay; I know how hard this must be for all of you.

Karen/Tooter was my beautiful companion for 25 years. She was the best 25 years of my life. It was an honor and a privilege to be by her side and to comfort and hold her hand till her last breath. Good-bye my Love. Rest in peace.

Such a loss of a wonderful person. We talked to her and Billie as they walked or drove the streets of San Manuel with little Chiquita. Always stopped to talk as we walked by their home. Prayers and condolences to family and friends for their loss.

Karen will be remembered by all that she has touched, she was an inspiration to me and although she could be tough as nails, she had the ability to make one feel welcome and included and always the perfect hostess.
My condolences to all that were close to her and loved her.

Grandma Karen taught me many, many things, but most important of all, she brought me so close to God. VBS and Sunday school will always be some of my favorite memories with her. Like any relative, we had disagreements, but she always showed me, time and time again I could tell her anything. She always wanted to go on an adventure. My brother and I spent every summer at her house, and it was always full of so many special memories. Vacations, quad/dirtbike riding, fashion shows down the hallway, shopping, swimming, baseball in the back yard, karaoke, and so many more. She always had the brightest smile and loved everyone around her. I just know she's shining so bright in Heaven.
